Treasurelaketalk has been accused of editing and not posting all of the comments that come to the blog. In reply, yes we do edit and from time to time we do not post comments. The staff here at TLT is committed to providing a quality information site. However, you would not believe what some readers submit. For […]
Two special meetings have been scheduled for the TLPOA Board of Directors to work on the proposed budget for the next year. The meetings will be held Saturday, Jan. 30 at 9 a.m. and Monday, Feb. 1 at 6 p.m. at the POA office. These meetings will be held in executive session and are not open to property […]
The board of directors, shortly after the start of the new board year, started reviewing committee minutes and reports at the work sessions. Vice-President Carol Korthaus was designated by the board president to review the highlights of items of interest from the committees. In our opinion, this is good idea because some property owners and even some board members do […]
Aqua crews will be flushing water lines through Friday, Feb. 5. Customers may experience discolored water and or/or low pressure while crews are flushing lines. The discolored water may last for up to 24 hours after the crew has completed flushing lines.
One of our many readers pointed out that issues concerning the Lakeview Lodge have been included on the business agenda for Monday’s meeting. Here we go again! It looks like there are major problems with the recently purchased heating/air conditioning unit. If it is not one thing it is another. Sad to say it appears that […]
At a recent meeting, TLPOA Director Frank Calderone asked a very interesting question. The topic of recreation events surfaced and Frank asked if the events were making money or costing us money. Good question Frank. We would like to know that too. Recreation and Events Director Lori Corcoran said she could provide all types of assorted information on […]
We have been impressed with the recent treasurer reports. They are quite detailed and the graphics are a positive addition. At one time, delinquent assessment collection was part of every report. We are wondering if this has been discontinued or is it possible that all the delinquent assessment money has been collected?
TLPOA Treasurer Mike Yoha gave another suggestion at the December TLPOA meeting. He described the general manager’s role and said the general manager is supposed to operate the association within the approved budget. He asked that the general manager report any cost center variances of 3 percent to the board with corrective action within 48 hours of receiving the […]
We are confused! We understood that the previous board of directors hired Skyline Ventures to manage our food and beverage operation in Treasure Lake. Now we see an ad in the local newspaper for a full time food and beverage manager. If the TLPOA is paying Skyline a set percentage of our receipts from our food and […]
We have learned that the Winterfest is today. This event is billed as a Treasure Lake community event that involves families. What surprises us is that we often see full color advertisements highlighting events at the Lakeview Lodge, promoting fun and frolic but this event was not promoted very well if at all. We have also heard that Winterfest […]
Treasurer Mike Yoha raised some very interesting points at the December TLPOA meeting. He pointed out that the TLPOA needs to give up trying to copy the Ruby Tuesday dining model…it isn’t working. We agree there is a problem with the Lakeview Lodge. The marketing department is going to the extreme trying to market the Lakeview Restaurant with […]
We commend board member Joe Krill for wanting to find out what can and can’t be done with our amenities. For years we have heard you can do this and you can’t do that. We know for a fact that some board members (past and present) make things up and are not a reliable source of information. Krill […]
