We are pleased that the TLPOA Board of Directors voted to approve a policy regarding hiring employees. The new policy requires that the position be publicly advertised in various ways. We believe this will avoid the way previous employees have been hired, seemingly appearing from nowhere! Property owners have been critical when jobs have been created […]

Our post on golf on Christmas brought some comments on religion. However, we weren’t considering religion, we were looking at other angles including having TLPOA employees work on a holiday and whether operating a golf course on Christmas day is profitable. Concerning our employees, we have heard for quite some time that Treasure Lake has a reputation […]

Christmas is a time of surprises and frankly we were surprised with the email announcing the Gold Golf Course would open at noon Christmas Day. Really Christmas Day? Of all days….Christmas? We could understand April Fools Day… but not Christmas Day! Is Ebenezer Scrooge running our golf course?

One of our readers informed us that the $440,000 in this year’s budget for the Silver golf course irrigation system is only half of the cost. Director Joe Krill suggested hiring an attorney (not affiliated with Treasure Lake) to research what the TLPOA could do in regard to the amenities. We agree with Mr. Krill. We are tired of folks saying you can or can’t do this or that when in reality we really don’t know what can or can’t be done. We believe that […]

That old board member Dan Flanders is alive and well! At the December work session, it was reported that he objected to a presentation by Director Joe Krill. According to a post from Charlene Lutz, the TLPOA admistrative assistant, the problem with the proposal for the new speaker system is not a problem. The requested equipment was included in the bid price and it was not missing from the quote. Charlene said, the individual misspoke at the presentation. While it is good to know that the quote […]
