We have heard rumors that John Rusbarsky (also known as Sparks) is no longer employed as facilities maintenance manager by the TLPOA. We have not confirmed this. Does anyone out there know anything about this?
Something smells fishy in Treasure Lake…and it’s not coming from the lakes. There are rumors and speculation that there is something going on behind the scenes because of the way the Board of Directors acted Monday when they were asked to affirm their actions from an executive session. Sneaky? Underhanded? Or maybe just stupid. None of these […]
We have learned that property owners who did not attend Monday’s TLPOA meeting missed a real show. Apparently Director Wayne Marhelski made a motion to have the directors affirm their decision to not appeal Judge Ammerman’s ruling dismissing the borough petition. None of the other board members would second Wayne’s motion. After spending three quarters of a million dollars […]
The TLPOA will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. tonight (Oct. 28) at the Lakeview Lodge. The agenda items include voting to affirm the directors decision not to appeal the judge’s ruling to end Treasure Lake’s borough initiative.
Note: Chris Miller, chairman of Treasure Lake Owners Action Group (TLOAG) requested this be posted on Treasurelaketalk. This message can be email it to the TLPOA board at: email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org or mail it to the TLPOA admin offices, deliver it in person, or mail it to TLOAG – PO Box 104, Brockway, PA 15824 […]
Several Treasurelaketalk readers have made us aware of a candidate in the election for DuBois Area School Board director that deserves attention. The individual is a Treasure Lake resident and is also on the TLPOA Board of Directors. This candidate also did not answer all of the questions regarding background and experience that appeared in a recent edition […]
An update was given on the backgate security system at Monday’s question and answer session. TLPOA general manger Robert Romo said management is watching the budget and controlling expense and could staff the back gate. The installation of the new back gate system is tentatively scheduled for the end of November and will take three to four weeks. We […]
The TLPOA website has not been working properly for over a week. Property owners have not been able to access needed information. We understand a glitch now and then, however, this is not the first time there has been a problem with the site. It has also been reported to us that when the site is […]
Treasure Lake’s initiative to become a borough may be over for some folks, but it is not over for others. Clearfield County Judge Fredric Ammerman dismissed Treasure Lake’s petition to become a borough Sept. 19. The TLPOA Board of Directors released a statement Sept. 30 saying that they would not appeal the judge’s decision. At Monday’s […]
We have learned that once again Chris Miller, chairman of Treasure Lake Owners Action Group (TLOAG) was busy at the TLPOA worksession Monday. Apparently Chris asked the board members why a roll call vote did not take place when they decided not to appeal the judge’s ruling that dismissed the borough initiative. We also learned that he pointed […]
We have learned that the Trunk or Treat event held Sunday at the Lakeview Lodge was well attended. There were over 80 vehicles registered to participate. Adults and children were dressed in costumes and look fantastic. We heard you could not tell who was having the most fun– the children or the adults!
A question and answer session will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Lakeview Lodge and Conference Center. The October worksession will follow at 6 p.m. This is an opportunity for property owners to ask questions at the Q&A session and make comments at the worksession. We hope you ask: * Why didn’t the board of directors […]
There are some issues concerning the operation of Treasure Lake committees. Per our bylaws committee meetings are supposed to be open to property owners who may want to attend. However, there are times when the committees are meeting at places outside of Treasure Lake. We are aware that committee meetings have been held at various restaurants, some in DuBois and […]
We learned that at the September TLPOA board meeting, a report was given on activities at the Lakeview Lodge. It was stated that events “went well.” Director Wayne Marhelski asked a good question. “Went well! What does that mean?” He pointed out that there were no numbers or information regarding how many property owners or non property owners […]
